Creepers. Groundbreaking.

You can't even imagine how much creepers bored me. I've seen them anywhere.
Almost everyone that wears them feels alternative and looks at you in an arrogant manner as if you were an idiot wearing a mediocre, mainstream, boring pair of flats. Hilarious.
Anyway, the first time I saw these type of shoes I thought I had already seen them somewhere.
They remind me of the so-called "calcagnini" or "zoccoli" - in Italian -, they could be until 60 cm high and were especially worn by Venetian paramours in the 16th century. These lent women a more seductive walk, but they were so dangerous that they needed support from two people to walk.

Non potete neanche immaginare quanto mi abbiano stancato le creepers. Le ho viste dappertutto.
Quasi tutti quelli che le indossano si sentono alternativi e ti guardano con arroganza come se fossi un idiota che porta un mediocre, ordinario, noioso paio di ballerine. Esilarante.
Comunque, la prima volta che ho visto questo tipo di scarpe ho pensato di averle già viste da qualche parte.
Mi ricordano i cosiddetti "calcagnini" o "zoccoli" (in italiano), potevano essere alti fino a 60 cm e venivano indossati soprattutto dalle cortigiane veneziane nel XVI secolo. Queste scarpe conferivano alle donne una camminata più seducente, ma erano così pericolose che avevano bisogno di essere supportate da due persone per camminare.

A beautiful woman

This afternoon I was waiting for a train when I noticed a woman sitting on a bench beside me. I think she was about 60 years old and she was so different from the other women of her age. She had her long grey hair tied in a french braid, and no makeup on. She was wearing a sweater, a pair of pants and a pair of boots, but she was sitting on that bench like she was wearing an evening gown. Her best accessories were her blue eyes and her smile.
Meeting a naturally beautiful lady like her is so rare nowadays. I'm tired of seeing mature women proudly showing off swollen breasts, cheeks and lips. 
I hope embrace my wrinkles when I'm old, or at least I hope an alternative to aesthetic surgery that doesn't make my face look like a pillow.

Oggi pomeriggio stavo aspettando il treno quando ho notato una donna seduta su una panchina di fianco a me. Credo che avesse 60 anni ed era così diversa dalle altre donne della sua età. Aveva i capelli grigi, raccolti in una treccia e niente trucco. Indossava una maglia, un paio di pantaloni e un paio di stivali, ma stava  seduta su quella panchina come se avesse indossato un abito da sera. I suoi accessori migliori erano i suoi occhi blu e il suo sorriso.
Incontrare una donna naturalmente bella come lei è così raro oggi. Sono stanca di vedere donne mature sfoggiare orgogliosamente seni, guance e labbra gonfi.
Spero di accettare le mie rughe quando sarò vecchia o almeno spero di trovare un'alternativa alla chirurgia estetica che non faccia sembrare la mia faccia un cuscino.

How To Fold A Bra

Spring is always a good excuse for spring cleaning. I was tidying my lingerie up when I noticed some bras of mine changed shape. As a lingerie addict, it was such a shame I didn't know how to fold a bra correctly. Then a friend of mine told me how to solve the problem and I would like to share it with you in case you don't know how to do yet.

La primavera è sempre una buona scusa per le pulizie di primavera. Stavo riordinando l'intimo quando ho notato che alcuni dei miei reggiseni avevano cambiato forma. Da drogata di lingerie, era una vergogna che non sapessi come piegare un reggiseno correttamente. Poi una mia amica mi ha detto come risolvere il problema e vorrei condividerlo con voi nel caso in cui non sappiate già come fare.

First, take your bra, obviously. This one is from Intimissimi and it's one of my favourite.

Then fold the bra in half.

It's easy, it allows you to save space in your drawers, and it prevents cups from changing shape. Did you know this "trick"? Do you use it?
